RYA SRC (Short Range Certificate) in Rome

VHF/DSC operation for safety and compliance
The RYA Short Range Certificate (SRC) is the mandatory VHF marine radio licence for anyone operating a fixed or handheld VHF aboard, under any flag. In Italy and across the EU, it is the minimum legal qualification to use VHF and DSC (Digital Selective Calling) at sea. Getting certified involves two separate steps โ€” an online course and an in-person exam in Rome โ€” with two separate fees paid to two different organisations.
