Booking Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all course bookings made with Sailing Pro Italy through this website, by email, or by phone. You accept them when you complete payment.

Who you are buying from

Sailing Pro Società Sportiva Dilettantistica a r.l. ("Sailing Pro S.S.D. a r.l."), registered office at Viale di Villa Pamphili 73, 00152 Rome, Italy. Amateur sports company affiliated with ASC (Attività Sportive Confederate), an Ente di Promozione Sportiva recognized by CONI / Sport e Salute, and an RYA Training Centre.

What you are buying

The course fee paid to Sailing Pro covers training (online and/or in person), course materials specified on the course page, and our part of the RYA certification process. Where a separate RYA exam fee is required (e.g. Short Range Certificate, First Aid), this is paid by you directly to the RYA and is not included in the fee paid to us. Where the RYA issues the final certificate by post, delivery and timing depend on the RYA, not on us.

Price, taxes, and payment

Course fees are shown on each course page in Euro (EUR). The price displayed is the total price you pay: no tax, surcharge, or booking fee is added at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.; we never receive or store full card details. A payment confirmation is sent automatically by Stripe to the email address you provide at checkout. If you need an Italian fiscal invoice, write to info@sailingpro.org within 30 days of payment, providing your billing details.

When the contract is formed

The booking contract is concluded the moment Stripe confirms your payment. You will receive a confirmation email from Stripe and, for theory and online courses, login credentials and any further instructions from us within 24 hours.

Right of withdrawal (14 days)

If you are buying as a consumer, you have 14 days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving a reason (Codice del Consumo, artt. 52–59), by writing to info@sailingpro.org or using the form below. We refund the amount paid within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the same payment method. Italian law provides two cases in which the right of withdrawal does not apply:

• Courses on a specific date: for services related to leisure activities supplied on a specific date or period — such as practical courses and classroom sessions with fixed dates — the right of withdrawal does not apply (Codice del Consumo, art. 59, comma 1, lett. n).
• Online courses and digital content: if we activate your access to the online learning materials before the 14 days expire, with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal, the right can no longer be exercised from the moment access is activated (Codice del Consumo, art. 59, comma 1, lett. o). That consent and acknowledgement are collected at the moment of payment.

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the supply of the following service: [course and date]. Ordered on: [date]. Consumer's name: [name]. Consumer's address: [address]. Date: [date]. Signature (only if this form is notified on paper).

Cancellation or rescheduling by us

We may cancel or reschedule a course due to insufficient enrolments, adverse weather (especially for practical courses), instructor unavailability, or other circumstances beyond our control. If we do not deliver the course, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount paid; alternatively, if you prefer, we can move your booking to the next available date at no extra cost.

Practical courses: safety and conduct at sea

Practical courses are run on sailing yachts under the command of a qualified skipper/instructor, and participants must follow the skipper's safety instructions at all times. To take part you must be in good general health, be able to swim, and inform us in advance of any medical condition relevant to participation; a valid identity document is required. Sailing Pro Italy holds the insurance cover required for amateur sports training activities.

Complaints and dispute resolution

If something goes wrong, write to info@sailingpro.org: we read every message and reply within a reasonable time, seeking a direct solution. If no agreement is reached, you may bring the matter before the competent court, without prejudice to any out-of-court dispute resolution procedure available to consumers under applicable law.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by Italian law. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country where the consumer resides remain unaffected. For non-consumer disputes, the court of Rome has exclusive jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one published on this page at the moment you complete payment.
