Day Skipper
Plan and skipper short passages
The RYA Day Skipper Practical course teaches the core skills to skipper and run your own coastal passages. You need some sea time and basic theory; by the end you will plan and carry out daytime coastal passages in fair conditions. Holders of the Day Skipper Practical can request the International Certificate of Competence (ICC) without further assessment and, with the shorebased certificate, obtain the Commercial Endorsement.
